This is a practical resource to be used by teachers of English Language Learners, in teacher education credential programs, and by staff development professionals and coaches. This book provides innovative and research based instructional strategies for all levels of English Language Learners. 60% of the strategies are totally new. Those from the authors’ previous books include new examples and updates.

What’s an instructional strategy? A teaching tactic, technique, or method that can be used in a class as part of a multiple lessons and across content areas. Each strategy can be incorporated into various classroom lessons. The book is divided into two main sections: Reading/Writing and Speaking/Listening. Each section contains between 40 and 70 strategies.

Radio Network; writes a weekly post for The British Council, the largest international English-teaching organization in the world; and is a regular contributor to The Washington Post, Edutopia and ASCD Educational Leadership. He teaches ELLs and mainstream students at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, California.
